America's Climate Refugees
As climate change pushes the Guna people from their traditional home in the island of Gardi Sugdub to a resettlement in Isber Yala, the question of what will become of their maritime culture looms large over the community, making them one of America's first indigenous climate refugees. This comes at a time when a YUGE climate change-denying American nation that loves calling the shots on the continent, is beginning to show an unhealthy interest in Panama.
