Taliban at COP29

Believe it or not, Taliban is at COP29 in Azerbaijan, making Afghanistan proud! While their participation at COP despite their abysmal track record of human rights and the suppression of women is being hotly debated, climate analysts also opine that with the many vulnerabilities and collapsing agriculture that Afghanistan is faced with, Taliban’s participation at COP is a necessary last resort, as is the case with many other nations whose governments don’t exactly fare well in the human rights department (this includes genocide orchestrating nations sending their delegations to COP)
