Escalating tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of the terrorist attack on Pahalgam by Pakistani terror outfit LET / TRF and the ensuing water wars, will have, among many dire consequences, one acutely overlooked but critical one- doom for the apex predator of the Indus basin waters vital to the ecosystem’s health- the Indus Dolphin, negating decades of conservation efforts on both sides of the border. The endangered dolphin endemic to the Indus basin also happens to be Pakistan’s National Aquatic Animal and Punjab’s State Aquatic Animal.
Green Humour for The Hindu.
Sad the Indus Dolphin doesn't know that humans believe they're the only apex predator that matters!
