Infrastructure and incentivization for creating breast milk reserves can act as carbon offsets- because breast milk is the most sustainable nourishment for infants and children worldwide, other than being the most nourishing too!
Here in New Zealand we have far too many dairy cows (more emissions and pollution of lowland rivers and aquifers). A lot of that milk is dried in COAL powered factories to be made into powder for baby formula. Most of it is exported via polluting shipping. So I couldn't agree with you more. Women can't always breastfeed, but when they can it is better for everybody.
